In many underdeveloped villages of Corozalito, people are still using kerosene lighting, which is harmful to human bodies. In order to offer these people cleaner lighting sources, Grid Earth, an organization based in US, has recently donated LED lamps to all the residents of Corozalito. Each LED lamp can be powered by solar energy and does not need electricity facilities.

Bomba, Corozalito is a small hardworking village off the Old Northern Highway running up the east side of Belize. Totally dependent on Kerosene for light, the families of Corozalito will now have safe solar powered lighting based on LED module for reading and studying at night.

It was not the first time for solar-powered LED lighting to be donated to underdeveloped villages like Bomba. With purpose to save lives, improve health and educational conditions, and stimulate economies in underdeveloped areas worldwide, Grid Earth has been providing since its establishment solar-powered household lighting as well as opportunities for commerce in these areas.
